This course breaks down the various methods of chemical testing in cases of drug-impaired driving. We examine procedures for taking samples of urine, saliva, and blood, and compare and contrast these methods of testing. To what extent and in what circumstances is an invasion of a person’s body worth the accuracy of a test? Are different tests more reliable than others? We discuss which samples should be collected in specific cases, and which tests are commonly run. We further debate the reliability of these tests and the extent to which they should be perceived as accurate and precise.
