About This Course

In this course, we will focus on estate taxation. Canada does not have an estate or inheritance tax. However, upon someone’s death, the executor must file a T3 tax return for the Estate. Once the course is completed, students will be able to understand what trusts are, the different types of trusts that exist, how Estates are taxed, the deemed realization of capital gains and losses of trusts, the new reporting requirements, how to wind up an Estate and the preparation of a Trust Return through Tax Prep. If you are a tax advisor, then this course will be able to provide you with valuable information on the Estate process.

You may watch my previous course as well called “Deceased Taxpayers - the Final Personal Tax Return.”
