
This course provides a foundational overview of Canadian Criminal Law, offering students a thorough introduction to its key principles, procedures, and societal impact. From the purpose and structure of criminal law to constitutional limits and the Charter of Rights and Freedoms, students will explore how legal rules apply in real-world contexts within the justice system.
Through case analysis and critical discussion, students will gain insight into the elements of crime, legal defences, criminal sanctions, arrest procedures, and the roles of various parties in criminal proceedings. The course encourages thoughtful reflection on both the academic and societal dimensions of criminal law.

Throughout her career, she has also been responsible for developing, implementing and facilitating Ontario College courses in both Law Enforcement and Protection, Security & Investigation.
