This course covers an introduction to privacy concepts and laws in Canada with a focus on Ontario, understanding how the laws of other jurisdictions apply to data protection and the use of personal information in Canada, and a description of safeguards that a business may consider for protecting privacy. The course also describes privacy related contract clauses, what they should contain and how they can be used to safeguard personal information.
