Legal and ethical obligations in protecting the environment and endangered species
This course provides an overview of environmental protection laws, focusing on legislation related to protected areas across Canada. You’ll learn about conservation efforts on marine, national, provincial, and private lands, and the legal frameworks that support them.
The course also covers endangered species protection, including key provisions of the Species at Risk Act (SARA) and species classifications. It concludes with a discussion on our ethical responsibilities toward animal welfare and the preservation of their dignity and comfort.
