Advocating for healthy and inclusive workplace culture has been the common thread in Erin’s career, starting from her first retail job at 15. Erin believes that everyone deserves to work in a place accessible to their needs, free from barriers, and where everyone belongs. Erin supports businesses and leaders who want to create sustainable change to improve accessibility practices within their workplace. Through a lens of health promotion, she uses a quality improvement approach to build a strategic framework that equitably fits the needs of all employees, while supporting business objectives. Erin is a multi-talented leader, with over 10+ years of progressive, professional experience in nonprofit, private and public sectors. Erin is certified in LEAN Quality Improvement and Occupational Health & Safety, with a leadership background in both social services and sales. She has extensive knowledge and training in conflict resolution, people development and human resources. In 2021, Erin was late diagnosed with ADHD. Learning as an adult that she has been living with a disability her entire life, has made her recognize the critical importance for universal accessibility standards within the workplace. Many disabilities are not visible to others; furthermore, the person with a disability may be completely unaware of their disability (including you, the reader). Striving for universal accessibility within the workplace helps to remove barriers for everyone, including those who are unaware of the barriers they experience. In addition to her work in the accessibility space, Erin is the Project Lead for a mentorship program with a public college, supporting women entering the STEM field post-graduation.
